Howdy to everyone, sorry I tried the Live Chat but it failed so am really hoping that someone can answer in the comments section. I know that these often get ignored though. I have the OM1 MKii and have 100-400 f5-6.3, I know much of this will be user error but PLEASE can someone tell me how to set up the camera/lens to get images that are sharp? This is for bird/wildlife photography in the UK. I have tried everything but there are many conflicts about shutter speed/ISO etching set high or low. I have the IS Lens ON and IBIS is Auto. I am aware that low light is a limiting factor too. OK thank you, ever hopeful.

Ich würde schon die Hintergrundmusik (und die künstlich eingefügten Vogelgeräusche) etwas lauter machen, damit man den Text noch schlechter versteht! Eine derartige Unsitte und ein absolut lächerlicher Modetrend, der Videos um keinen Deut besser macht. Inhaltlich ansonsten guter Beitrag. Warum die Kollegin mit ihren "denglish" Floskeln so herumwirft erschließt sich mir auch nicht. Mittlerweile fotografiert man ja nicht mehr, sondern "shootet" nur mehr. Find' ich eher lächerlich.

Hola , cuando selecciono la detección de sujetos ( personas) en principio las detecta sin problema pero al pulsar el botón de enfoque el cuadradito de detección desaparece. Es así? o tengo algo mal seleccionado? Muchas gracias

que hemos aprendido de esta entrevista? que hay que estudiar composición, hay que saber utilizar photochop y pillarte unas linternas azules y otras coloradas... xdd. Me han encantado las fotos!! al final la cámara y los objetivos son lo de menos...

Would be great to have a "Copy New" option so you can backup to a SD card for off site backup (i.e., leave it in the hotel) while in the field. otherwise you have to copy all to that SD card at the end of every day, which will take progressively longer and longer...

question... will having back button focus set to the AF-On button interfere with starry sky AF also set to the AF-ON button..?

For all the texters who aren't satisfied because lack of knowledge: - You can charge the battery using power bank. - You can buy third party BLX-1 batteries that has usb-c ports, so while you shoot with the branded battery you can charge the 3rd party one. - These batteries last for a day of shooting, or 4-5 hours of intensive use. Having a single spare is more than enough. On the other hand I miss some info about the chemistry of the camera because it's good to know what charging level and draining methods fits it.

Vielen Dank für die Erläuterungen. Gerade diese Features verwende ich nicht so oft, so dass ich mich vorher mit der Bedienung erst wieder vertraut machen muss und dafür eignet sich das Video super.

Did someone knows if this device can power in external microphones?

I've literally just charged my brand new OM-5, formatted the SD card, and attached the lens. I've watched this video before taking even 1 shot! I decided to watch all the way through without trying to follow along, to understand the camera. I feel I now know enough to be able to go through it with my camera. Very helpful video! I've never used a DSLR, I went from Olympus OM-1 film to Nikon compact pro digital, to OM-5.

When you press the shutter down completely, do you have to keep your finger on it, or do you just press the shutter and release, letting the Procap get on with it?

The only part where I get a bit confused and it wont be hard to find out for myself with a bit of testing. But when you start a bracketing shot. You said start from the closest you want in focus. This means the closest detail to the camera? Does this also mean I should position my camera so that the focus is in the center, or maxed out to the left or right?

I had started my photogrpahy with Nikon FM2 back in 1998 and then used Fujifilm for 4 years. And then I was with Nikon DSLRs for 15 years incuding the legendary D850. And then I used Sony for 2 years and now use ONLY OM SYSTEM (for the last 3 months).

Yep nice video I can relate to it, but why the complete emphasis on nature photography by OM System. M43 is great for many genres. Bring back ambassador's like Robin Wong please.

Photography for me creates some exciting experience between my subjects, like models, and I. The interaction happening during the shoot is something I enjoy capturing more!
